AEG's Lee Zeidman Awarded Eli Sherman Pillar of Achievement and Inducted Into Southern CA Jewish Sports Hall of Fame

June 30, 2022 /3BL Media/ - AEG’s Lee Zeidman, President of Crypto.com Arena, Microsoft Theater and L.A. LIVE, was presented with the Eli Sherman Pillar of Achievement award by the Southern California Jewish Sports Hall of Fame (SCJSHOF) at the 30th induction ceremony on on Sunday, June 26,2022.

Zeidman and 18 other athletes and sports leaders were celebrated with a dinner and an induction ceremony at the American Jewish University in Los Angeles, CA.

“It is an honor to be recognized with this award,” said Zeidman. “Being inducted into the Southern California Jewish Hall of Fame reminds me of how fortunate I have been to be able to pursue my goals without restriction. I have been involved in the sports industry my entire career and it’s had an incredible impact on my life. For me, it is not my individual accomplishments that are most meaningful, but the collective achievements that my incredibly talented team have had on the sports experience in Los Angeles. I also would like to congratulate my fellow inductees each of whom have made valuable contributions to sports in Southern California.”

The Eli Sherman Pillar of Achievement award honors individuals whose efforts significantly enhanced their local communities. Some notable examples of past Pillar of Achievement award recipients are Sydney Kronenthal who created Culver City’s Department of Parks and Recreation; Paul Ziffren, Chairman of the Los Angeles Olympic Organizing Committee that staged the 1984 Olympic Games; and Rosalind Wyman, who was the key public official who facilitated negotiations that ceded the residential area now known as Chavez Ravine to the Dodgers.

Co-founded by Eli Sherman and Joe Siegman, the first SCJSHOF installation ceremony took place in 1990 to honor men and women who have played a significant role in shaping sports history of the Southern California community. Over 300 Jewish sport leaders ranging from athletes, coaches, officials to media executives have been inducted into the hall of fame since its inauguration.
