The foundational CSR pillars at Valvoline™ center on its “Three V’s” – Values, Vow, and Vision – with a strategic focus in four main areas: people, safety, environment, and innovation.

“Valvoline’s CSR report highlights our efforts to create positive impacts on our team members and neighbors alike, and we emphasize this commitment in all that we do,” CEO Sam Mitchell said. “These achievements are a testament to the hard work and compassion of our 9,800 employees worldwide.”

Valvoline’s CSR report illustrates the efforts and progress in creating stakeholder value, which include:

  • Achieving manufacturing operations injury rate 61 percent below the industry average.
  • Reaching zero-landfill status at 68 percent of global plants and warehouses.
  • Announcing goals of a 50 percent reduction in Scope 1 and 2 Global Products carbon emissions by 2030 and a 10 percent reduction in carbon intensity by the end of 2022.
  • Recycling 5 million pounds of materials.
  • Reaching $127 million in diverse supplier spend since 2016.
  • Raising nearly $700,000 for charitable organizations.
  • Continuing to advance the proliferation of environmentally friendly consumer alternatives such as hybrid and electric vehicles.
  • Promoting 100 percent of our VIOC service center managers, area managers, and market managers from within.
