Why: 1 in 5 U.S. adults experience mental illness each year and substance use disorder affects more than 20 million Americans aged 12 and over. Moreover, 9.5 million adults over 18 have both a substance abuse disorder and a mental illness. While the numbers of people experiencing mental health and substance use disorders are staggering, stigma often prevents individuals and many communities from seeking the help they need.

Visuals: Press conference and a collaborative session on road mapping the path to end the stigma around mental health and substance use disorders.
