And we’re really excited that, along with other teams across Texas, we’re being given a chance to help inspire the next generation of talent.” “It’s great to see the tremendous support that our sport is being given,” said Isaiah McCants, who will be one of the casters providing play-by-play commentary and analysis. “It’s huge to be a part of the biggest tournament to date between students from ten Texas schools. And it really makes me proud that my hometown of San Antonio is really coming together to be a community for some serious esports talent development and competition.” “We are thrilled to have this opportunity to bring together families from across Texas and beyond as they tune in to see some top performers and up-and-comers in the world of esports,” said Will Garrett, Vice President of Cybersecurity Development for Port San Antonio. “It’s going to be great fun to watch for those who are already fans. And it is also going to be an opportunity to introduce new audiences to an exciting competitive sport that is growing at a phenomenal rate. Just like other traditional sports, it’s an avenue for young people to develop teamwork, strategy and other skills that have direct application to succeed in their future careers.” “This is an exciting time to be part of esports. It’s great fun, and it also allows young people a new way to connect with one another in competition and a shared love for the game—whether it’s with teammates and other friends from school or with players across the country and around the world,” said Esports in Education Founder Sam Elizondo. “Our organization is focused on bridging that love of the game with practical applications in advanced industries, where students can directly use the skills acquired in gaming as part of their careers or as entrepreneurs.” “The upcoming tournament will be a great opportunity for our museum and our partners to bring together the community and introduce them to our work as a place that is fun, exciting and committed to connecting people from all walks of life with a world of opportunities,” said SAMSAT President and CEO Doug King. “Esports ties in directly with so many of the activities and learning experiences we provide—from cybersecurity to the development of computer programming. We look forward to a great turnout in June and, in the months and years that follow, to have a prominent place in the esports community.” As it grows its 1,900-acre technology innovation campus, Port San Antonio’s commitment to the esports community is underscored by a $60-million facility that will launch in 2022 in partnership with SAMSAT. The Tech Port Center + Arena will span 130,000 square feet to include a 2,500-seat venue that will be the nation’s largest purpose-built facility for esports tournaments. Integrated state-of-the-art technology will allow those games to be broadcast worldwide. The arena can also be reconfigured to host other entertainment activities, including concerts and technology competitions, such as in cybersecurity and robotics. In addition to the gaming arena, the Tech Port Center + Arena will provide a new expanded home to SAMSAT, including spaces for new exhibits and activities focused around cybersecurity, coding and game design. An adjacent food hall with an array of restaurant offerings and a 24-hour LAN gaming area will make the Tech Port Center and Arena a premiere destination for esports enthusiasts from across the nation and around the world. DermTech Helps Detect Skin Cancer Through a Smart Sticker Instead of a Scalpel

YourUpdateTV

A video accompanying this announcement is available at: https://youtu.be/QVe6yyOnK_4 Would it surprise you to know that one in five Americans develops skin cancer during her or his lifetime? In fact, every hour of every day one American dies from melanoma. It is the deadliest of skin cancers, and one of the most common cancers diagnosed in the U.S. Because of the nation-wide closures of dermatology offices during the pandemic, the number of skin cancers diagnosed during March-May 2020 decreased by 43% compared to the same timeframe in 2019. This means there is a potential backlog of undiagnosed skin cancers. Even prior to the pandemic, only 16 percent of Americans ages 18-29 surveyed in a 2018 study stated that they visited a dermatologist’s office in the past 12 months. What if there were innovative and painless ways to get your moles checked at home via a telehealth appointment and under clinician supervision? DermTech has a proprietary innovative technology platform that identifies signs of melanoma at the genomic level and allows dermatologists to detect melanoma earlier and more accurately. The DermTech Melanoma Test analyzes’s genes in your skin sample that is collected using Smart Stickers TM, and with a 99% negative predictive value meaning there is a less than 1% probability of the test missing a melanoma when administered properly. Simply press the Smart Sticker TM on the suspicious spot or mole; the adhesive sticker safely collects your cellular material so it can be transported to DermTech’s onsite Gene Lab where laboratory scientists look at the molecular level for RNA and DNA that are linked to melanoma. Results are shared with your dermatology provider within 3-5 days. DermTech’s test can also be performed with a doctor’s order and remote sample collection (at your home) under clinician supervision. In honor of Melanoma and Skin Cancer Awareness Month taking place this month, DermTech also launched its #Stickit2Melanoma campaign to urge people to get proactive about their skin exams. DermTech is pledging up to $1 million over the next four years to raise awareness about the importance of skin exams and making them accessible. For every #Stickit2Melanoma pledge to have a skin exam with a clinician, DermTech will make a $5 donation to its nonprofit partner organizations focused on skin health. To join #Stickit2Melanoma, schedule a skin exam with your doctor, take the pledge at www.DermTech.com/Pledge and encourage your community to do the same. Also, 24-hour online support will be provided by MovieSaints to ensure audiences across three continents have a seamless experience throughout the duration of the festival. “Last year, we had to reimagine the film festival in a virtual format, and it involved pivoting to an online platform. We emerged stronger with a larger footprint as global audiences engaged with the films,” said Suman Gollamudi, IAAC Executive Director. “This year, with the pandemic creating even more distress, we feel a greater responsibility to provide filmmakers an outlet to showcase their work. Plus, offer audiences hope through cinematic stories that give meaning, form and shape to lift our emotions.” Presented virtually for the second year in a row, the festival will feature 58 screenings (23 narrative features, 8 documentary features and 27 short films). The lineup will include worldwide, globally outside of India, the U.S. and NY premieres. Screenings will be followed by post-screening discussions with the filmmakers and acclaimed and celebrated personalities from the film industry. “We aimed to truly underscore the NYIFF commitment to diversity and cultural representation in film,” said Aseem Chhabra, NYIFF Festival Director. “This year, we will feature films in 15 languages spoken in India: Assamese, Bengali, English, Hindi, Kannada, Kashmiri, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Nepali, Oriya, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu. All films will have English subtitles.” “NYIFF’s mission is to provide filmmakers, actors and industry professionals a platform to showcase their work, as well as foster an environment where filmmakers exchange ideas and interact with discerning and diverse audiences, journalists and aficionados,” Chhabra added. Films screened at NYIFF 2020 went out to win six National Awards, the most prominent film awards ceremony in India. This year, at NYIFF 2021, we are delighted to bring to you the following films that won National Awards: Khisa for “Best Debut Non-Feature Film of a Director” Sonsi for “Best Cinematography Non-Feature Film” Biryaani which received “Special Mention” Many of the films being shown at the festival have won accolades at leading international film festivals. Apart from these, we are proud to present to our audience, films that have played at Berlinale, Sundance Film Festival, Busan International Film Festival and Rotterdam International Film Festival, among others. “For the first time, the 2021 lineup truly reflects the incredible diversity of Indian cinematic creativity,” said Dr. Nirmal Mattoo, Chairman IAAC. “This standout collection of films introduces new voices, fresh perspectives and original storytelling, which enhances the NYIFF curatorial legacy of spotlighting movies that go on to receive critical global acclaim.” “In addition, we will be unveiling a newly designed award in 2021,” continued Mattoo. “Conceived and created by IAAC Board Member and sculptor, Raj Shahani, this iconic award will epitomize the excellence that NYIFF seeks to foster with its annual awards presentation.” Each of these films along with the complete collection of NYIFF-recognized titles will be available for viewing starting June 4, 2021, at nyiff.us and nyiff.moviesaints.com. The Future of Indoor Air Quality

YourUpdateTV

While concerns over indoor air quality are nothing new, the COVID-19 pandemic has made people realize just how important clean, indoor air is to our health. As states continue to fully reopen, facilities around the country are turning to new technologies to help keep indoor spaces safe. Recently, Dr. Ken Thorpe, a scientific advisor to Integrated Viral Protection, participated in a nationwide satellite media tour to discuss the impact of these new technologies and what the future holds for indoor air quality. A video accompanying this announcement is available at: https://youtu.be/wrtkcmLQ5pY As more states begin to fully reopen, Houston-based Integrated Viral Protection (IVP) is helping businesses do so safely with their IVP Biodefense Indoor Air System. The air filter system instantaneously catches and kills airborne COVID-19 and other RNA viruses and has been granted emergency use authorization by the FDA. IVP is playing an integral role in reopening businesses such as hotels and restaurants and keeping children in schools around the country safe and is positioned to be the standard going forward, promoting clean and healthy air in all spaces. IVP is installed in health care settings across the U.S. to include over 100 healthcare facilities, including COVID-19 specialty hospitals, neuro-psych facilities, rehabilitation hospitals and tertiary centers. The game changing technology works by forcing air through a heated filter that captures and kills contaminants, including airborne pathogens, instantaneously, without changing the ambient air temperature significantly. IVP has been endorsed by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers as one of five top technologies in the world to combat COVID-19, and was recently named a top 25 Newsmaker of the Year by the Engineering News Record. Integrated Viral Protection (IVP) has also launched a new portable air purifying unit that instantaneously kills COVID-19 and other airborne pathogens. The compact travel unit, ideal for spaces up to 250 square feet, quietly cleans the air anywhere, including in hotel rooms, meeting rooms, residential spaces and more. The unit is also perfect for hotel and dorm rooms or common areas of a home. This protection against viruses and airborne pathogens is especially valuable when visiting high-risk individuals or hosting indoor gatherings.
