Bacula Systems Appoints CTO to Further Accelerate Technological Innovation in Next Growth Phase Data backup and recovery leader positions to continue unique technology announcements for protecting organizations

Accelerating its leadership in highly secure backup and recovery for large enterprises and government agencies, Bacula Systems today announced that Jorge Gea has joined the executive team as Chief Technology Officer.

Gea will be responsible for inspiring and growing Bacula's technical teams, further accelerating the businesses' technical achievements and delivering the world class secure technology for which Bacula has become renowned and awarded. Gea will lead the innovation agenda and technology roadmap for Bacula Systems, bringing deep technical experience with a background in software engineering, infrastructure, and software architecture.

Bacula Systems Chairman, and original founder of both Bacula.org and Bacula Systems, Kern Sibbald, said “Jorge is the right person to oversee Bacula’s technical strategy as we move to a new phase of growth.
