Bluewhite is honored to be named one of the International Agri-Center World Ag Expo’s Top-10 New Products in their New Product Competition.
“I’m very proud of the entire product team, and this award truly recognizes their expertise and dedication to bring autonomous systems to permanent crop growers. We are in the unique position that the Pathfinder is already commercially available, and with the growers we work with, we have already seen significant impact on their farms,” says Ben Alfi, Bluewhite CEO.
Permanent crop growers continue to face increasing pressures to reduce operational costs, lessen their environmental footprint, and figure out ways to do more with less. There also remains a significant labor shortage, especially in California’s Central Valley area, where a large majority of Bluewhite customers are located. Bluewhite recognized these challenges were faced by a majority of growers, and set out a few years ago to build a platform to help address these challenges.
Pathfinder was developed to be a cost effective, flexible, and safe solution for permanent crop growers. The platform can transform any brand of existing orchard or vineyard tractor into a fully autonomous fleet, capable of executing multiple tasks, such as spraying, applying herbicide, discing, mowing, or harvesting with high precision and operating efficiency. By retrofitting a growers existing fleet, Bluewhite has not only been able to help the grower maximize their existing assets, and lessen their environmental footprint by providing more precise technology, but they have ultimately been able to increase the grower’s bottom line.
“We at Bluewhite spent the last four years building 'Pathfinder', our autonomous tractor aftermarket kit, to ensure we will help improve our customers’ bottom line and resolve their labor challenges,” says Michal Roizman Vida, Bluewhite Vice President of Product.
The platform has helped to maximize productivity and reduce operational cost by up to 85%, supporting the growers’ journey to a more profitable and sustainable farm. The platform is unique and is currently the only commercialized offering on the market that allows growers the flexibility to update and use their existing fleet with the capability of autonomy. Pathfinder uses the unique fusion of multiple sensors, LIDAR, cameras, and GNSS, enabling safe navigation in every crop and application without the reliance on GPS/RTK or cellular connection, which is not available in all operating conditions.
Bluewhite would also like to congratulate partners Tevel and Beewise as award winners in the competition as well. This further underscores the importance of collaboration and working together toward a common goal.
The next five years in the supervised autonomous solutions space, Bluewhite believes, will truly set the stage for the permanent crop industry and with this recognition, reaffirms Bluewhite’s commitment to the permanent crop grower.
This is only the beginning. There is much more to come.
