Celsius Resources "advancing quickly" with flagship MCB Project in the Philippines

Celsius Resources Ltd (ASX:CLA, AIM:CLA) Managing Director Peter Hume speaks to Thomas Warner from Proactive London about the latest developments from the battery metals-focused exploration and development company. Hume explains that Celsius is now both ASX and AIM-listed and is making significant strides with its flagship MCB Project in the Philippines.
He describes the Project as a copper porphyry with approximately 300 million tonnes of high-grade resources, located in Northern Luzon in the Philippines. He adds that despite challenges during the pandemic, Celsius Resources continued drilling, and a pre-feasibility study 18 months ago confirmed the project's economic viability.
The company has been pushing on with the permitting process in the Philippines, where Hume acknowledges the government's efforts to introduce new policies and guidelines to improve the mining industry's sustainability and environmental practices. He suggests that Celsius Resources is poised to receive its mining permit for the MCB project "within a month", making it one of the first companies to achieve this milestone in recent times.
Hume says that with an experienced board and a dedicated team in the Philippines, Celsius Resources is well-positioned to make rapid progress. The company is not only hard at work with the MCB project but also exploring opportunities for collaboration with international partners. An agreement with Silver Corp is already in the works, and other potential partnerships are being pursued.
