McapMediaWire -- Franklin Mining, Inc. (OTC Pink: FMNJ) has signed a Joint Venture agreement with Ernesto Benadet, CEO of AMA Resources Inc., an Argentina company with extensive experience in mining copper ore. The Joint Venture details the operational plan to mine for copper over a span of 55,000 hectares in the mineral-rich province of Neuquén, Argentina; 300-hectares within this area have already been tested and proven viable for commercialization under the JORC drilling standards by MIN-YAMANA.

The mining field is contained within the areas called LA CUPROSA, LA BARROSA, LA NUESTRA, and YARAVI NORTE in western Argentina. The mining areas have easy access to roads and rail infrastructure, in a developed area known for its history of oil and gas production. The current operation is in possession of almost all of the necessary equipment for producing copper oxides, including a metallurgical plant, and they have partnered with Franklin Mining in order to begin rapidly expanding the ongoing production.

“The importance of copper in the near future cannot be understated,” announced Franklin Mining CEO William Petty. “It is a valuable mineral needed for use in electronics and medical purposes. We believe it to be even more financially solvent than our previously discussed lithium mining operations.”

South America is home to some of the most mineral-dense countries, with Argentina and Chile leading the world in copper production. As the need for copper grows, the value of this mineral will only increase.
