Great Boulder Resources Ltd (ASX:GBR) MD Andrew Paterson tells Proactive the company is looking at a suite of new targets at the Side Well Gold Project’s Ironbark prospect in WA just days after it resumed an aircore campaign.

A recent sub-audio magnetics (SAM) survey — executed over a 2-kilometre zone at the heart of Ironbark’s 87,000-ounce gold deposit — suggests potential for strike extensions to Ironbark’s northeast.

The SAM survey — the first of its kind at Side Well — had supplied plenty of useful data as the company closed in on its best drill targets.

“The conductivity data shows Ironbark mineralisation sits in a resistive zone adjacent to a linear conductor which is probably a shear zone,” he explained.

“The images also confirm our theory that Ironbark is offset to the north by a cross-cutting fault, with potential for strike extensions to the northeast.

“Secondly, we have identified an unexplained and untested conductor northeast of Ironbark that may be caused by sulphides. We plan to test that with a small aircore program in the near future.”
