The National Contract Management Association (NCMA) announced today they have been granted accreditation from the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) for the Certified Federal Contract Manager™ (CFCM™) certification.

“This is a powerful acknowledgement of our community’s dedication to the workforce with the third NCMA certification to receive this honor,” said Kraig Conrad, CEO. “Accreditation from an internationally-recognized third-party demonstrates the extraordinarily high quality of the CFCM™ and provides a competitive advantage to contracting professionals who hold the CFCM™ and to the organizations that employ them.”

The ANSI accreditation process is based on the ANSI/ISO/IEC 17024 standard. It provides a global benchmark for certification programs to ensure they operate in a consistent, comparable, and reliable manner worldwide. ANSI accreditation signifies that the holder has attained a certification designed to the highest industry requirements and that NCMA has met, and continues to meet expectations for quality, emphasizing the validity and integrity of the CFCM™ program as a critical step in the career journey of government-focused contracting professionals.

The CFCM™ assesses the knowledge of contracting professionals from the perspective of the federal environment, which is heavily focused on the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).
