January 14, 2022 - PT Freeport Indonesia joined with two cultural foundations to host an exhibition and sale of Kamoro Art in Jakarta, Indonesia in late October.

Proceeds for the art sale went directly to the artists and the Maramowe Weaiku Kamorowe Foundation, an organization dedicated to the preservation of Kamoro traditional art in Mimika Regency, Papua.

Papua, Indonesia, is a culturally diverse region. PT Freeport Indonesia has engaged for decades with Indigenous Papuans through multiple formal agreements that promote workforce skills training as well as health, education, public infrastructure development, and participatory monitoring and evaluation of PT Freeport Indonesia-funded projects.
