MILWAUKEE, August 19, 2021 /3BL Media/ - Rockwell Automation has made a $15,000 donation to the American Red Cross to help people affected by last weekend’s massive earthquake in Haiti. More than 1,000 people have lost their lives and more than 800,000 call the area surrounding the quake's epicenter home.

According to the Red Cross, families are facing uncertainty as the loss of life continues to mount and the possibility of aftershocks continues. Homes and entire buildings are destroyed, roads and ports are damaged and lifesaving efforts are the priority at this stage of the emergency. On Monday, Tropical Storm Grace caused flooding and already damaged structures collapsed under the stormy conditions.

“The devastation in Haiti is heart-breaking especially its impact on children,” said Rockwell Automation's Patricia Contreras, vice president, Public Affairs. “To support relief efforts on the ground, Rockwell Automation has once again partnered with the Red Cross to assist with their humanitarian efforts.”

Rockwell will also use its previously established internal Red Cross microsite as a portal for its employees to support the non-profit’s earthquake relief efforts. Learn more about the Red Cross efforts in Haiti.
