Revenue Management Solutions Announces Competitor Price Intelligence

Revenue Management Solutions

Revenue Management Solutions (RMS), a world leader in data-driven analytics and tech-enabled solutions for restaurants, has launched its Competitor Price Intelligence solution. The competitive price platform includes a proprietary Restaurant Price Index (RPI) that analyzes menu price evolution so users can benchmark pricing across as many as 170,000 quick-service, fast casual, casual dining and fine dining locations. For the first time, restaurant operators can access clean, validated monthly price change data from a simple dashboard interface, revealing insights into the increasingly competitive pricing landscape. Using a proprietary AI technology, the solution continually compares menu prices for all restaurant segments across 50-plus brands in all US states and select countries internationally. Revenue Management Solutions developed the solution to address clients’ most significant concerns. “RMS developed our Competitor Price Intelligence and RPI based on nearly 30 years of menu engineering and pricing strategy,” said RMS Chief Client Officer Bob Donofrio. “With data exclusive to the restaurant industry, operators have a meaningful snapshot of price direction accessible through an easy-to-use, cloud-based platform, with actionable insights to drive pricing strategies, revenue and profitability.” Competitor Price Intelligence is much more than a pricing data dump. Leveraged on RMS’ expertise and combined with the user’s input, the solution delivers pre-categorized, like-for-like menu item comparisons. The dashboard includes comprehensive pricing data for in-store and delivery prices in any US region or market and for major brands internationally using local currencies. Updated monthly, the insights and data timeliness are unmatched by third-party sellers. Additionally, users can: ● Define their competitor set and menu categories ● Compare prices across targeted segments and cuisine types ● Easily tag and compare by location ● Filter by geography and menu category ● Understand how an item is priced ● Track industry and competitor pricing activity over time As mounting costs and inflation pressure the industry, RMS is previewing its Price Map insights with a monthly heatmap featuring the latest average prices for burgers, chicken sandwiches and pizza across all US states. “We asked the world’s leading restaurant brands, through client feedback and focus groups, what they needed to succeed in today’s highly charged environment,” said RMS CEO John Oakes. “The overwhelming answer was competitor pricing data. Timely data wasn’t accessible, and operators didn’t have the staff to make sense of it. Our Competitor Price Intelligence will change that.” Access the free Price Map or learn more about Competitor Price Intelligence at revenuemanage.com. ### About Revenue Management Solutions Revenue Management Solutions (RMS) is committed to supporting restaurants through these ever-changing times. Prepping Your Lawn & Garden to Withstand Drought

YourUpdateTV

With the sun shining and the days getting longer, it’s the time of year when homeowners across the country start to plan, prep, and plant in the yard. But while many parts of the country experienced increased precipitation this year, concerns over water consumption and drought remain, and drought conditions are predicted to return and intensify in many areas. Recently, Experts from ScottsMiracle-Gro participated in a nationwide satellite media tour to discuss tips to help your lawn and garden withstand drought conditions this summer. A video accompanying this announcement is available at: https://youtu.be/aWNaWJe73co Water conservation and drought are top of mind for homeowners, but many don’t know how to keep their lawns thick and green while reducing water usage. Here are some quick tips to help: First, focus on having a well-fed lawn because feeding not only improves a lawn's appearance, it also helps the lawn protect itself against drought. A well-fed lawn grows deeper roots to better absorb water and nutrients. Regular feedings of Scotts® Turf Builder® Lawn Food can provide the nutrients your lawn needs to look its best and withstand the stresses of heat as well as periods of drought and dormancy. Second, be sure to get the lawn height just right. Grass mowed at the proper height develops a deeper root system to better find water and nutrients in the soil. As the season gets warmer, let your grass grow taller than you might typically would. Finally, rely on rainfall as much as you possibly can. If you choose to water, wait until it’s absolutely necessary to do so, typically when the lawn is turning brown. If you’re a person who doesn’t need to water your lawn, it’s okay to let your lawn go brown and dormant for a short period of time this summer. If you fertilize regularly, your lawn should bounce right back. When it comes to gardening, it’s all about making every drop count. To maintain a healthier, more drought-resistant garden, start with good soil. Mixing nutrient-rich organic matter, like compost or Miracle-Gro® All Purpose Garden Soil, into your existing soil not only makes it easier for your plants to grow, but it also improves the soil structure. Good soil structure means better nutrient and water holding – water is able to penetrate into the soil, instead of running off, and is held where the plants can use it. Then add mulch. Mulch not only makes your garden beds look nice and finished, but it also keeps weed seeds from sprouting which would otherwise compete with your plants for water, nutrients, and sunlight. Mulch helps keep moisture in the soil by reducing evaporation and also moderates soil temperature by shading the soil. Lastly, water smart. When you do water, water deeply, directing the water at the base of the plant. Deep watering promotes deeper roots which better withstand drought. Water in the morning or early evening, avoiding mid-day, which helps reduce water loss from evaporation. And, if possible, use drip irrigation or soaker hoses in your garden beds instead of overhead sprinklers or a hose and breaker. Also remember to properly feed plants leading up to hot, dry weather conditions because healthy, nourished plants can better withstand prolonged periods of heat and drought. When you connect Miracle-Gro® Performance Organics Garden Feeder to your garden hose, you can feed and water at the same time. USDA’s ‘Defend the Flock’ Campaign Addresses How to Help Keep Your Backyard Chickens Safe from Bird Flu

YourUpdateTV

Over the last several years, more people have turned to raising chickens at home. But a highly infectious bird flu called Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) has created challenges for backyard growers, already affecting more than 58 million birds nationwide. Recently, Dr. Julie Gauthier, the Assistant Director of Poultry Health at the U.S. Department of Agriculture, participated in a nationwide satellite media tour to discuss the crisis and how their ‘Defend the Flock’ campaign is helping address the issue. A video accompanying this announcement is available at: https://youtu.be/-7Wg4IcF5Bc The U.S. poultry industry is one of the largest in the world and an important sector of our agricultural economy. Disease outbreaks can devastate flocks, impact trade, cause job and financial losses, and affect prices on eggs, prepared poultry, and other staples. The Defend the Flock education program offers free tools and resources to help everyone who handles or works with poultry follow proper biosecurity practices. These practices will help keep your birds healthy and reduce the risk of avian influenza and other infectious diseases. Tips include: · Keep flocks away from open water and wild birds that can carry disease · Separating your poultry from the rest of your property, using only one entry and exit point · Clean regularly and wear dedicated clothes and shoes when tending to your flock · Clean equipment and vehicles with soap and water before and after they are near your flock · Don’t share tools, poultry supplies or equipment with other flock owners · Report sick birds and know the warning signs, including lower egg production, soft-shelled or misshapen eggs, and runny nose, sneezing and trouble breathing. Report any signs of illness or unexplained deaths to your veterinarian, animal health official, or call the USDA at 866-536-7593 For more tips and advice to keep your chickens safe, search online for ‘Defend the Flock’ About Dr. Julie Gauthier Dr. Julie Gauthier is Assistant Director for Poultry Health and a Veterinary Medical Officer at the U.S. Department of Agriculture/APHIS.
